Romans 12:12 "rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;"

We are moving!

Peyton and TJ have birthdays four days apart, so on January 14th we had their joint birthday party.  This is a picture of our dining room table.  I was going for a John Deere tractor motif, with a  side of old fashioned at home parties.  The party was at home, and family only.  I succeeded.

I made the birthday cake.  My mom helped me by making the chocolate buttercream icing.  I used  green frosting in an aerosol can for the grass, and the tractors were courtesy of Jake.

TJ did not like all the attention he was receiving.  He was especially frustrated that so many people were invading his house.  If you remember, TJ hid during presents at my parents house.  He may not be as outgoing as his brother.

Jake and I even took a picture, even though he REALLY did not want to.

Peyton, as always, fully enjoyed all the attention he received and the gifts.

Special thanks to Amanda Iles for rushing our t-shirt order.

Christmas post

Taylor and Tyler opening their game.
All of the pictures I am posting today are from Christmas Eve at my Mom and Daddy's.

TJ did not like being in the living room because of the noise.  He secluded himself to the guest room, specifically beside the toys.  After just a minute, Peyton missed his brother and joined him.

Ginger after receiving her gift.

Ginger opened her gift first and completely stole the show.

oh the groundhog

Key life has been, well, boring.

We finally got to paint the kitchen.  A nice, soft yellow.  My paintbrush itches for green in the living room.  Then green on the shutters, and something cool on the doors.

My spring and summer are booked with wedding activities.  My friend Meredith just announced that she and Bill have decided to have a low-key, small ceremony in Knoxville or Cade's Cove.  On February 18, Kayla and I will travel to Doyle to grab Hillary and then forge on to Knoxville for Meredith's sleepover bachelorette shower, hosted by Mandi.

Jennifer and Cade's wedding is set for June 23, 2012.  Her ZTA shower in Starkville is April 28, 2012, hosted by Sarah G. and I.  Sometime after that is  Jenn's bachellorette/ shower in Gulf Shores, or I think?

The boys are growing by leaps and bounds.  Eventually, I plan to upload pictures from my camera of Christmas, birthday party, and various other wonderful-ness.  I'll write posts to go with the pictures too!

Winter has disappointed me this year.  Every year that I lived away from Corinth, snow has been plentiful!  From our time in Starkville to the Demopolis years- Jake and I thought we HAD  to be a no-snow curse.  Guess what?  I don't think we've experienced below freezing temperatures since November!  We are not amused.

Afternoon in town

Tonight is Jesus' Birthday party at First Baptist Church Corinth. Such a special day, I decided we would spend all afternoon at Meme and Big Daddy's. AND, to increase the specialness, we bought lunch at Wendy's; Nuggets and fries for kids; half size chicken BLT for me.

Then we drove to Big Daddy's, but there was no room to eat at the table since Meme has it decorated. So next door to Nana and Dad's we went!

Peyton chose to nap with Big Daddy (ha! he still isn't asleep two hours later) and TJ stayed to nap with Nana. I hope he is napping anyway.

Unfortunately, Peyton said words that his babysitters taught him. WE AND RT. Luckily, it was time for church.

Gasoline

No pictures.  I was moving too fast for pictures.

I'll keep this short.  Peyton and TJ were playing in the backyard this morning after lunch.  Peyton got into 'the shed' of doom, and he came out with the gasoline for the lawn mower.

Shed door- does not close completly, therefore cannot be locked.
little brother- fun to terrorize

Peyton poured the gasoline on TJ's head.

Humbug

I'm not in the mood.

Life is too sweet to worry about getting in the spirit. Spirit of what I ask?? Fake happiness and joy. Nah

Joy is not for one season.

We are joyful in our daily house-ful of crazy. Where biting, crying, and screaming happen constantly; but I don't want to be anywhere else.

Happy Birthday, Jesus!! You, we adore.

I'm not back

Nor will I be anytime in the near future.

The Key family is starting to find a real routine; Peyton has even returned to learning activities that were halted when I started packing.

Most days I find myself busy cleaning and cooking while texting Jessica (Jessica is the only one who texts regularly.)  Jake ordered dishnetwork so we are back to watching Nick Jr., Disney Jr., and PBS.

My birthday is Thursday; I will be 28!  So glad I'm not looked at as a youngster anymore.
