Going to Stay with Grandmommy

Peyton, Jake, and Ginger will be going north on Friday.  Peyton and Jake will return on Sunday.  Ginger bit Peyton on Monday, so she is going to live with Grandmommy for a while.  Peyton's poor little finger took the brunt of the event.  Dr. Shot  gave him a tetnus shot on Tuesday, along with a strong antibiotic, and directions to cleanse twice a day and squeeze infection out.  In case you ever wonder, infection looks like snot.

Dr. Shot poked two holes in Peyton's finger today, to let more infection ooze out.  We will be recuperating from this for the foreseeable future.

I tried desperately to capture a video of TJ saying 'banana' today, but he would not perform.  I was, however, able to capture a video of TJ splashing in a mud puddle.  And since this blog's title is about mud puddles, I will share that video.

If you are in the habit on following my button, Pray for Kate, please check out today's post.  I think tomorrow I will post WILW (R) that is, Thursday, not rated R.  Teaser:  We are lovin' Bones

Chauffer

I drove folks around yesterday- I am good at that!
Today I had a repeat.  Jake is borrowing my Daddy's truck, so I get to take my Daddy wherever he needs to go.

Trip 1- My Daddy's property in the country- he was meeting the auction house owners to see if they wanted to purchase furniture left in my grandmother's house. (auction owners are my brother's mother and step-father)

Trip 2- Grandmommy's new (ish)  house!  I wanted the boys to wait for Grandmommy before they went in.  While we were waiting patiently, Big Daddy called and said he was ready for pick-up.  I thought I knew how to navigate between the two places on back roads so I went on my way.  (Jake and Grandmommy were still en route from Papaw's across the county.)  I turned on CR 522 (good move) but I did not turn on CR 520 (but I would have turned left- wrongo).  I did find CR 510, but I needed CR 511.  I told Peyton that we were lost but ok.  He said "Well I'm going to tell Grndmommy." I asked him not to, but "Oh, yes I got to."

Trip 3- back to Grandmommy's from CR 510.  The road ended on number 2 (hwy) so I quickly got back to Wheeler Grove.  I called Jake to pick up Big Daddy on his way in, which was on his side now.

Trip 4- back to Meme's house with Big Daddy and Peyton.   Big boys don't tt in their underwear.

Trip 5- Grandmommy's.  Pick up TJ, drop off Peyton.

Trip 6- Meme's.  TJ needs a nap.

Not as Much Fun as it Might Seem

This morning I slept until 8, sort of.   Jake was supposed to be at work at 4 am, but at 20 til he was still in bed.  Before he got in the shower, Peyton came to our room with Honeybear and his pillow in tow.  So I helped him climb into our bed.  Then after Daddy got in the shower I helped Peyton out of bed so that I could bring TJ into bed.  Well after Daddy went to work (4:30,) Peyton came back and told me that he had thrown up and he wanted me to clean it up.  So I put TJ into his crib with a bribe (bottle of milk) and went to clean up.  Poor kid, I suppose that is why he came to my room to start with, his belly hurt.  ---Anyhow, I got up to wash the comforter and study my Bible.  After two cups of coffee I was barely able to keep my eyes open.  So I parked my parka on the couch and went back to sleep.  UNTIL 8:15 WHEN PEYTON said "Good Morning Mama!"

We had plans to head to Foscue park this morning to play at 10.  We leisurely got ready and headed out for 20 minutes of fun in the sun and sand.  That's when Peyton took off up the hill toward the bathroom.  After that trip he and his brother wanted to walk on the path.  Two toddlers, no stoller, path; not as much fun as it seems.

At home, Peyton was walking around with a blanket over his head - he found out the hard way.  That's not as much fun as it seems either.

The table was in Peyton's way, ouch

The boys went down for their first summertime nap, I captured each.
I bribed him again
