Fun in the Sand

We had a play date this morning with our friends the Snowden's.  Sarah (Mommy), Logan (3), Ethan (18m+).  We all had a great time and I did not realize I took so many pictures.  But you will enjoy!

Lots of Pictures, Lots of Stories

So last night my boys came home!  Peyton came in and ate a large amount of food.  Jake wasn't interested in food.  So I put them all to bed and Daddy and I got to listen to our favorite radio program, Unshackled.  This show is produced by Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago.  Click here!!  You won't regret it, I don't think.

I tossed and turned for 30 good minutes before finally getting in the guest bed.  (I didn't want to disturb Jake.)  I spent the next hour blog hopping and realizing that I desperately want to change my page's design.  I have inspiration now!  The first thing I remembe,r after finally turning out the light, is Peyton opening his bedroom door.   Sweet little one came to see his Mommy as soon as he saw sunlight.  (7AM)

After our pancakes we headed outside.  They acted like they wanted to play in the water, but they really just wanted to get the patio all wet.  Wet sidewalk chalk is really cool.  I was impressed, Peyton made a lovely handprint for me! (no, not being sarcastic)

Forget that it is pink

Anyway, I took them to WM with me so I could grocery shop.  Thanks to the new buggies, I could strap them both in while this was happening.  My first, and probably singular, good grocery trip with both boys.

Peyton only napped for a little over an hour, which is never good.  But today he caught me studying my Bible and asked if I could Bible study with him when I finished my own reading.  I promptly read Psalm 5.

Right Before Bed

I went to the post office and tanning bed after Daddy got home from work.  Tootsies is having a summer sale and I am thinking of picking up a new beach towel.  Tootsies is where I tan.

Saggy-Baggy
My friend Katie came over and talked to me while I prepared dinner.  We discussed my insistence that TJ and Peyton not waste good, regular diapers/pullups when playing in water.  The alternative is the pricey swim diapers; I don't like using three of those a day either.  I use three because I won't let them stay inside with a wet swimmy, and who wants to put on a cold, wet swimmy when going outside for round two (or three) of water fun? This has led to playing outside au natural.  Which I think is harmless, until....  (disclaimer: Mom, stop reading)

Mommy: "Peyton, may I take a picture of you two working of Daddy's lawn mower?"
Peyton: "Yes."
Mommy: just now reaching said lawn mower, "Peyton, where did that poop come from?"
(TJ stands near an AWFUL smelling pile of poo)
Peyton: "His butt."

And that's where I'll leave you for today, good night folks!

I CAN Clean, Just Don't Like To

Jake told me before he left that this weekend would be a good time to get my office in order.  I thought I would take before and after pictures.
I guess it looks worse in pictures?

They Got Me and I Miss Them

AT & T - Jake decided to go ahead and pay that company their $78.88, again!  I'll get you, my pretty!  He had a good argument- and ATT had us by the kahonas.

TJ was attempting to get into Miss Katie's bag.

Easy Living Part Two

The boys are playing in the backyard au natural, and lovin' it!  I will not post pictures because I don't think I'll make any.

My Southern Living came in the mail yesterday and I devoured it upon contact.  This month had a big section on peaches, which I have never liked.  But I am considering giving them another shot because my boys deserve to have some.

In other food news, I'm in charge of muffins for girls' trip.   I am planning to make new flavors- raspberry cheesecake, peanut butter, and cappucino and chocolate.  You can research new flavors too!

The happy couple in San Fransisco August 2009.  I was around 20 weeks pregnant, but we did already know I was carrying TJ, so by that I mean we knew the sex.

WILW (R)

Forgive me, I've had a lot going on.

What I'm Loving...

Bones  - Jake downloaded this show a long time ago, but he finished watching swamp people and ax men first; so now we watch 1-2 episodes a night.

Jesi Mays- This lovely young woman agreed to nanny for us while I am in FL with the gals.  For more information on this trip, click here.  Find a label called beach and probably all beach posts have  a picture of the four of us, with me pregnant with TJ.

sleep- I love to sleep IN MY BED because my kids really don't let me do that much.

Drop Dead Diva - I downloaded this show a while back also.  I just now started watching though; Love it!

working on a chair with Daddy's tools (together)

THINGS I'M NOT LOVING:
AT&T- We have  been over, and over, and OVER $78.88.  I paid it online, the system misapplied the amount to another account (one of our old numbers), so we disputed and they cut me a 78.88 check, which I depostited b/c I knew what would happen next, they sent another bill (on old account) for 78.88, I cut a check WITH THE CORRECT ACCOUNT NUMBER and sent it in along with this month's payment (with the correct account number), and now we get a busy signal? Consider yourself disconnected AT&T.

I WANT HIS HAIR BACK!!!!

Going to Stay with Grandmommy

Peyton, Jake, and Ginger will be going north on Friday.  Peyton and Jake will return on Sunday.  Ginger bit Peyton on Monday, so she is going to live with Grandmommy for a while.  Peyton's poor little finger took the brunt of the event.  Dr. Shot  gave him a tetnus shot on Tuesday, along with a strong antibiotic, and directions to cleanse twice a day and squeeze infection out.  In case you ever wonder, infection looks like snot.

Dr. Shot poked two holes in Peyton's finger today, to let more infection ooze out.  We will be recuperating from this for the foreseeable future.

I tried desperately to capture a video of TJ saying 'banana' today, but he would not perform.  I was, however, able to capture a video of TJ splashing in a mud puddle.  And since this blog's title is about mud puddles, I will share that video.

If you are in the habit on following my button, Pray for Kate, please check out today's post.  I think tomorrow I will post WILW (R) that is, Thursday, not rated R.  Teaser:  We are lovin' Bones

I Will Complain to Your Supervisor

Sonya from Chidren's in Birmingham, she got schooled.  She called and asked for Jake (no problem) and when  I said he isn't here, she asked to leave a message (no problem.)  I asked what this is concerning (don't you?) and she SIGHED  and repeated the number.  I repeated my question and SHE HUNG UP!  Well I called back.  We discovered a problem with billing and we took care of it.  Then I asked for her supervisor.  Don't be rude to me, Sonya.  That is all.

Summertime... and the Living is Easy

Today was VBS program at church.  Peyton performed.  I led him to the stage and instructed him to stay seated on the step.  Miss Amanda told the kids to stand up and Peyton look at me and said, "I have to stand up now Mama,"  which I found BEYOND precious.  Once the music started, he was exploring the stage,  cause he's three, and I was trying desperately not to laugh too hard.  He picked up the offering plate, asked if it was mine, started looking into electrical boxes; at that point, I attempted to get him off the stage.   I tried the choir door (near where he was investigating the piano,) but Faith (babysitter/VBS music leader) brought him to me, happily.  I took him to nursery to run amuck there.  We have since heard that his performance was enjoyed from various church members.

SO we went to Las Fuentes for lunch.  TJ said "Mama!" every time he wanted me to dip his chip piece into the salsa.  Peyton had a cheese quesadilla, which he dipped into the cheese dip.  Which, as you've probably wondered, is why we have the poop problems.  Peyton is taking an adult dose of Miralax every morning with his ONE cup of juice.  He is limited, as we all should probably be, to three servings of dairy a day.

After their nap, Jake and I had bad headahes, so we allowed the boys to play outside for a few minutes.  We lost sight of them and got scared.  We found the cuties in the shed, painting.  Peyton  had found blue paint and poured it into the painting pan.  TJ had the brush in his hand.  We found at least seven, wide, blue boxes painted on the back wall of the shed.

About Time

I tried to capture this evenings'; stunt from inside my house

Then I just opened the door!

I suggested we turn off the sprinkler, but the boys wanted to clean their trucks.

Last time I let Ginger babysit.
Then I said the words every woman dreams of saying to her husband; "Honey, will you hose the kids off?"

He Struck Again

I won't delay the pictures any longer.  Peyton got his Daddy's beard trimmer Thursday morning.  I won't accept any comments about how he shouldn't have been able to reach it (I know this)

Just Another Day in Demopolis

We are busy little bees around here.  VBS is in full swing.  Peyton has a blast learning about Jesus, and TJ has fun being a baby with Mr. and Mrs. Spence.  Naptime has been short though.  This makes for ill little Key's.  Forgive me, today is a picture post.
